The STEM History project at DNC School has concluded with impressive results from students on the theme “Students with Creative Historical Model Ideas.” In this project, student groups vividly recreated famous historical landmarks such as the Egyptian Pyramids, Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum, and the Temple of Literature – symbols of world and Vietnamese history.
Egyptian Pyramid Model
🏵 The student group used materials such as cardboard and glue to recreate the grandeur of the Egyptian Pyramid. The model features details like stacked stone layers, offering a visual insight into the intricate structure of this ancient wonder. To enhance realism, the group also added sand surrounding the pyramid.
Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum Model
🏵 The Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum model was an emotional highlight of the project. The students skillfully recreated the solemn and majestic building in the style of President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum. Using eco-friendly materials like wooden sticks and wax glue, they built the model with meticulous attention to detail, allowing viewers to feel the significance of the resting place of the beloved leader.
Temple of Literature Model
🏵 For the Temple of Literature, students created a model that clearly reflected the architecture of ancient Vietnamese culture. The model included the Khuê Văn Các (Pavilion of the Constellation of Literature) and small details like rows of trees, evoking the peaceful, solemn atmosphere of the heritage site. To perfect the model, the group used Legos to form intricate details, demonstrating their appreciation for and understanding of Vietnam’s cultural heritage.
At the end of the project, the models were showcased in an exhibition, drawing the attention of teachers and fellow students. These creations are not just a result of a passion for history but also a testament to the creativity and excellent practical skills of the students.
The STEM History Project has provided an engaging and meaningful experience, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the value of historical landmarks. We look forward to the next exciting projects!
