“Spring Rice: A Symbol of Renewal and Hope”
The spring rice plant has long been an indispensable symbol in Vietnamese culture and daily life. Each spring, young rice shoots sprout across vast fields, painting the landscape with boundless greenery. In Vietnamese traditions, rice is deeply tied to festivals, customs, and collective memory—images of plowing and harvesting linger as cherished recollections.
Rice has also inspired celebrated poetry. Poet Tố Hữu, with his poignant soul, once wrote:
“Green rice grains, pure as jade,
A hue borrowed from earth and sky.”
Through their dance performance, Class K1 of DNC School embraces the spring rice as a humble yet profound emblem of Vietnam’s rural soul. The choreography sways between melodic gentleness and spirited crescendos, mirroring the nation’s rhythm—through hardships, triumphant anthems, and the vibrant renewal of progress.
